AACD Honor

Local Dentist to Attend World’s Leading Scientific Session on Cosmetic Dentistry

Local dentist Dr. R. Brad Beasley of the North Alabama Center for Cosmetic and General Dentistry, will attend the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s (AACD) 18th Annual Scientific Session in Honolulu, Hawaii from May 7-12, 2002.

The AACD is the world’s largest organization dedicated specifically to cosmetic dentistry. By attending the AACD’s Scientific Session in Hawaii, Dr. Beasley is responding to more and more patients asking for cosmetic dental procedures. Over the last five years, consumer demand for cosmetic dental services has increased by 31.9 percent, according to an AACD survey.

In 2002, the AACD will take cosmetic dentistry From Solo to Symphony by focusing on the future of dentistry. Today, many different professionals, from cosmetic dentists to facial plastic surgeons, combine their skills in cosmetic clinical cases, leading to the modern-day, inter-disciplinary approach to fine smile design.

“I am excited to attend the education week in Hawaii. The education I receive through the AACD allows me to practice cosmetic dentistry better and provide quality care for my patients,” Dr. Beasley commented. Dr Beasley will attend approximately eight educational forums each day that will focus on a wide range of topics-from hands-on workshops focusing on specific clinical procedures to unique assembly lectures promoting general life learning and self-improvement. In addition, the doctor will have the opportunity to learn how to join a small percentage of dentists worldwide who have achieved Accreditation in the AACD. Local patients can be confident that the next time they step into Dr. Beasley’s dental office that their care will be provided by a dentist dedicated to learning advanced cosmetic dental techniques.

The AACD educates cosmetic dental professionals like Dr. Beasley through it’s Annual Scientific Session, The Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and many other channels to keep them at the forefront of the field. From May 7-12, 2002, the AACD will lead cosmetic dentistry into the future with revolutionary continuing education program that will improve dental care in all areas of the country. At From Solo to Symphony, Dr. Beasley and AACD dentists from all over the world will learn how to change lives-one smile at a time.
